Editorial Policy

The Centretown BUZZ is a not-for-profit community newspaper jointly-owned by the Centretown Citizens Community Association and the Dalhousie Community Association. It has no political affiliations and its purpose is to facilitate the residents and communities of Somerset Ward talking to each other about issues and notable events of community interest.

As a community newspaper, the Centretown BUZZ's priority is to help develop pride in the Ward's communities, residential neighbourhoods, and community organizations. All articles, whether positive or constructively critical, should be from the perspective of a resident.

The Centretown BUZZ will accept articles and photos from residents and community groups, although it reserves the right to edit or not publish submission, based on style and space considerations.

Short notices of not-for-profit community events may be published at no cost. Larger notices and notices for for-profit events will be accepted as advertising.
